Refund & Cancellation Policy

The short version

Cancel anytime from your billing settings. You keep full access through the end of your paid period — monthly or annual. We don't prorate, and we don't cut you off early. No hoops, no phone calls, no guilt trips.

Free Trial

Every GenSermon account starts with a free trial — 3 fully processed sermons, no credit card required. If the tool isn't right for your church, you can walk away without ever being charged.

Monthly Subscriptions

You can cancel your monthly subscription at any time from Settings → Billing. When you cancel:

  • Your access continues through the end of your current billing cycle
  • You won't be charged again
  • No partial refunds are issued for the remaining days in your billing period

Annual Subscriptions

Annual plans are billed once per year at a discounted rate. If you cancel an annual plan:

  • Your access continues through the end of your 12-month subscription period
  • No partial or prorated refunds are issued
  • Your subscription simply won't renew at the end of the year

We encourage churches to start with a monthly plan if you're unsure. You can always switch to annual later once you've confirmed GenSermon is a good fit for your team.

Add-On Purchases

One-time add-on purchases (such as extra sermon credits) are non-refundable once purchased, as they are consumed immediately upon use.

How to Cancel

Cancellation is self-service — no phone calls or emails required:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Manage Billing
  3. Select Cancel Subscription

Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You can re-subscribe at any time.

Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that ministry life can be unpredictable. If your church is facing an extraordinary situation — a natural disaster, a sudden leadership transition, or similar hardship — please reach out to us. We'll work with you on a case-by-case basis.
